Welcome to Inverness Field Archery Club
Inverness Field Archery Club (IFAC) was formed in 1986, and with a current membership of around 60 archers is probably the largest club in Scotland.
Although IFAC is now an independent club, it shoots to the rules of the International Field Archery Association (IFAA).
The Club has a 28-target field archery course situated in scenic woodland near the villages of Croy and Cawdor to the east of Inverness. The course also has three practice areas, a club hut with kitchen and other facilities that are available to members all year round. Click here for a guide to the course layout.
Non-members are welcome to join us by prior arrangement, for a day-membership fee of £1.00 (if attending a shoot, a further shoot entry fee will also be payable - this does not apply to Fun Shoots).
In the winter months, the club is held indoors at the North Kessock Community Hall. There are also indoor Portsmouth competitions held under the British Archery Postal League together with outdoor (irrespective of weather conditions) Frostbite competitions for the bravehearts amongst us. Click here for more information about Portsmouth / Frostbite and IFAC's own Club Trophies & Handicap Competition!
Other competitions in which our members compete are held during the summer season, and range from local club shoots to National, European and World Championships - at which the club have often excelled.
Membership is open to all - click on ‘Contact Us' to make an enquiry about our Beginners Course. Experienced archers can join the club for an annual membership fee of £35.
The 3-week (6 hours) Beginner’s Course costs £21 and is run by our qualified leaders Andy MacKinnon and Lynn Moffat. Places are very limited so please make your enquiry early!
IFAC also hosts 'come and try' sessions at the annual Moy Field Sports Fair, as well as at community events such as the 2007 Touchwood festival and the Scouts' Midsummer Madness event in 2008.
We look forward to welcoming you to our club!
